Searching for Information Sources
CONTENTS
This course provides knowledge on how to effectively search for relevant information sources, how to evaluate the relevance of information found in these sources, how to access full texts, and how to store this information for later use.
Output knowledge:
- Knowledge of strategies for effectively searching for and evaluating found information sources.
- Orientation in various information sources (Google, electronic information sources, library catalogs, etc.).
- Knowledge of information sources available to CTU.
- The ability to obtain full text using CTU library services.
- Storage and organization of obtained information.
BASIC INFORMATION
Scope: Three thematic areas (Preparation of a search query; Searching (research); Search results).
Completion: Completion of 3 tests.
